Inner Health versus Outer Health

How young do you feel?

Looking Good and healthy is not enough! Your heart could be more aged than your age.

How many times have you marveled at a parental or in older age in your life? Maybe the answer lies in your vascular age! Did you know that your vascular age can be different from your chronological age? As 17th century English physician said, “A man is as old as his arteries.”

Your arteries reveal the true age of your heart and fitness quotient.

The vascular age tell you how old your arteries are after enduring the steady beating of your heart – 70 times a minute or more than 100,000 heartbeats a day, which account for the wear and tear on your vessels.

There are the seven risk factor which determine the age of your heart:
  1. Smoking
  2. Diabetes
  3. Stress
  4. Eating
  5. Lifestyle (Exercise)
  6. Blood Pressure
  7. Cholesterol
A high cholesterol, high blood pressure, smoking, sedentary living and stress can accelerate vascular age. But the good news is that it’s possible to turn back the clock when your blood vessels grow old before you do. Lifestyle changes and medication can help bring them in line.

Several tools enable doctors and patients to calculate vascular age. Test like Carotid Intimal – Medical Thickness (Carotid IMT) and CTAngio suggest the difference between how old you are and how old your blood vessels are.

Now, the main problem is stress. Stress has become the by word in a dog-eat-dog world. If not prevented, heart diseases will take an epidemic form.

Is there a solution? Maybe you just need to wake up and realize that you are the solution!
