Side effects of Asthma Inhaler

There are a few side effects that are posed by asthma inhalers. Asthma medications are meant for the lungs as they solve breathing problems. But when these medications are absorbed by other parts of the body, there will be some side effects. Thus using an asthma inhaler keeps most of the side effects away as the medication is delivered to the lungs directly. Thus some of the side effects of asthma medications like increased heart rate and stomach upset. are rarely seen in case of patients using asthma inhalers.

But some patients might face certain side effects like:
  • Dizziness
  • High blood pressure
  • Fevers
  • Problems in vision
  • Chest pain
If these are seen it is better to talk to the doctor so that he can take the necessary steps.

Some common side effects of using asthma inhalers that do not require medical attention are itching, fatigue, headache and cough. Sometimes, the side effects are not merely of suing the asthma inhalers. It might be because of a few possible drug interactions. In such a case, it is vital to talk to the doctor about the medications that you are already taking. It is worth noting that Beta blockers, Diuretics, antidepressants might have serious drug interactions with asthma medications.
